    PAB, Maker?

I was sent some photos of this badge. I believe it is indeed a good one. At first glance I thought the reverse had pitting, but it is just where zinc is showing under the finish. I scoured the PAB books and the only conclusion I can come up with is that this is a 5.8.1 "Flatback" by an unknown maker (Page 564).

It lacks the line pattern on the reverse, but it would seem not all of them have that. The tips of the eagle's wings appear to be rounded at the top (just more of my probably over analystic observation) while the example in the book is pointed. I do not have a weight on it yet, but would like to hear what you guys have to say.

Any thoughts? Would I be right in identifying it? Original?

I would also agree with you here Rob...flatback without the lines.
