Opinions on a IAB please...

Got this IAB today with some other items. No maker marks that I can see and it does have wear marks along the outside edge of the back. What are your thoughts on the IAB and I assume that the catch has been repaired a long time ago?? Thanks for you help as I wanted to make sure before posting on E-stand. Mike

Hi Mike, actually nothing is wright about this badge, a few things, wrong bayonet, wrong eaglehead, wreath, and, and, and. the first iab I ever bought was about just the same as this one, and I still have it to remind me

The easiest way to find out is just to look at a couple of originals posted in earlier threads and to compare the simmetry and detaling on these badges with your example. Even on late war zinkers you will immediately recognize the differences. Detailing or even a clean stamp out is something that is completely missing on this crude cast example.
