GAB ok ?

I have had this GAB in my collection for awhile now,but have been a bit unsure of it ?

What are your thoughts on this piece, the recess for the catch ?

Very worn obviously. Never seen that type of hinge before.

The eagles head is quite unusual. It looks a bit like a Hymmen & Co GAB.

Looks like your GAB is made from period materials i.e. zinc - easier to tell if held in hand. IMO, I think its OK.
