    Help with a PAB please

I am a cloth insignia collector, who just bought a hollow-back silver PAB to go with some of my panzer cloth insignia. Not being too familiar with badges, it looks good to me and I bought it from a well respected dealer, but I would like some better informed opinions. Thanks for any and all help.

Looks like a well worn "Blob" fake to me. Based upon the F&R PAB. But I could be wrong.

Don is 100% right, it's the "blob"

          Hi Guys,

We extensively examined and discussed this PAB last year. It's highly worn and polished but it's original. It's not a "blob" fake.

Sadly most pics are gone but if you read the thread you should still be able to follow it

            Hello Alan and everyone else,

I agree with Philippe that the Panzer Assault Badge posted by Alan is original. It looks poorly detailed only because someone tried real hard to make it shine and wore away much of the detail. Here is a badge from my collection that looks to be the same type as the one posted by Alan. I know that this one is real. It was a direct veteran bring back from my uncle (+R.I.P.+) who served with the 112th Engineers in WWII.

                      Hi Tom,

That a very nice example you just posted. Really not easy to find these hollow zinkers in halfway decent condition. The finish on these PAB's was very poor.

                        Hello Philippe,
Thank you for your comments. Although unmarked, and not one of the nicest looking Panzer Badges, it is still one of my favorites.
