Help on IAB

Someone asked me what I thought about this IAB. I know only a little of these badges and know two types of known fakes. This one is not one of the fakes I know but maybe you know more.

I like to see more straight on pics of the obverse to have a better look at the details but how does the obverse compare to this IAB recently posted by Mike?

Hi Philippe, unfortunately I do not have this IAB at home and have no more pictures. At first glance the eagle looks similar. The back is totally different. Is it ok that obverses are the same and backsides are different if the badge was made by the same manufacturer and dies.

Other opinions?

Hi Volkbert,

That really isn't a problem. Some of these makers changed reverse set-ups like we change underwear . 5 to 8 different set-ups on one and the same IAB are certainly not uncommon. If Roman was arround I'm sure he could give you a demonstration

Hi Sammler,

I'm curious to here your arguments in relation to why you think this is a copy. Any idea on which IAB this copy would be based? Pitty we don't have more detailed pics of the obverse.
