    A "Pillow Crimp" PAB

I think that's what we're calling this particular setup.

This one has the "chromey" finish on the front that's been discussed before, and a matte finish on the back. The finish is shinier on the front than the scanner can show. The back is unmarked, and slightly dished.

60.0mm x 42.0mm, weighs 26.8g, none of the fittings are magnetic.

Any thoughts on whether or not this can be attributed to Foerster & Barth, as discussed in this thread? http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=47960

    Regards,
    Greg

            Dear Greg,

            I agree nice find.

Still missing that variant myself. Untill now I always passed on the few I had the opportunity of buying because I never was satisfied with there condition. Lucky for me I have a patient character.

In relation to the maker I still haven't encountered a second L/21 marked badge with that typical pillow crimp. The day that happens I'll feel confident on F&B being the maker of these PAB's.

Lucky sod Greg. Also another one that I am looking for. As the others already said, and as I am sure you know yourself, one of the harder ones to find. Nice condition to.

                Hi Guys,
We are reffering to these as "pillow crimp" Because of the raised platform that they seemed to be crimped into?
                Best, Sal

Yep, you got it Sal. With a bit of imagination it looks like a pillow.
