I'am with Jeff on this presently. I am not comfortable with the pictures provided. We have all seen many EWE's and I've yet to see one done with such a poor soder job. On top of that, the sodering seems to be done when the badge was assembled and not a replacment.

Hello and thank you for your reply.
There have been a few more detail pictures of the hinge block...I don't know where they went Laurent, would you please repost the photos?

Is now the general opinion that only the hinge has been replaced or is possibly the whole badge bad?

There is a lot I like about the badge and maybe it is just a sloppy solder job. I do not think anyone said the hinge had been replaced, just that better pics are always nice to have if possible.

A lot of the fakes out there do not have many of the original traits that this one shows. If excellent close up shots can't be obtained, it is likely a badge you would want in your hand to look at under a loupe.

                cheers

Robs point was that you said you did not remember the name, which implied it was a known maker. Rob pointed out that as far as we know, it is an unknown maker at this time.

                    cheers

                            Hello folks,

thank you very much for your opinions on this badge, even if this seems to be a very controversial badge I decided to pull the trigger....

I will post some close-ups once I have it in hand.

                            Thanks again
