This lanyard caught my attention as it exhibits details I do not associate with original lanyards. Those anomalies include:

1. The silver protective backing ribbon has striations (lines) running length wise whereas I expect to see striations running across the ribbon.

2. The 3 knots are larger than normal.

3. The large silver loops of the lanyard are bright and mint yet the Panzer badge looks worn. The details on the Panzer badge are not sharp because it was most likely cast off a worn original example.

4. The large silver loops should be 8 mm in width and these loops look to be a bit larger than 8 mm.

Several years ago high-quality reproduction Army Marksmanship lanyards began appearing and this one looks to be an example.
