    Anti-Partisan Badge in Silver

    Hi,

I have never been to this end of the forum, having spent most of my time in the Cloth Headgear, Helmet and Luft/FJ forums. I'm a Luft collector, but have always wanted one AP badge.

Most of the badges I see I'm assuming are fakes, and look like last ditch zinc awards with no finish remaining and in sub-par condition. This example is one of the best I've seen, with a high degree of silver remaining with darkened patination in the crevasses.

I don't know who on this forum has a practiced eye when it comes to these types of awards, but I welcome feedback to see if I can get a general persepctive on whether this badge is good or bad. We all know how pricey these are, and I'm just trying to do my due diligence here.

These are the only pictures I have, but I can ask for more, especially if there are particular views that are most telling in the identification process.

Thanks in advance for your gracious assistance!

    Best regards,

    Jason

These are well known "nub" reproductions.

Yes...it is from the UoE offering. He's very experienced, but that doesn't mean a repro. can't sneak in from time to time. We can't know everything about everything.

PAB - are you grumbling because it's too expensive for an original, or because you think it's a repro?

So only one person thinks it's potentially a repro? Forgive me, but I just don't know anybody on this forum.

I'm going to ask for more pictures.

              Best regards,

              Jason

This APB,was discussed here about 2 years ago,i cant find that thread but it was shown as enlarged picture and wore given buy everyone,i guess this is the reason its still sitting there for few years unsold.

PAB - it would be nice for a little expounding sometimes. I was hoping for a little feedback, not a one-liner "nub reproduction" and that's it. If you don't feel like clarying, that's fine, but the condescention in unnecessary.

Eddie - I'll look for the thread, thanks.

There was no condescension, you asked, and were provided with a factual answer to your inquiry.

"Expounding" every time someone posts the same badge ad nauseam, is unnecessary and time consuming. This particular example has been discussed many times, and one only needs to do a cursory search of the forum to see this.

                      Oh, and your welcome.

Further condescention...thank you. You've now expounded exponentially more on why your attitude is justified than on why the badge is a fake.

Just did a search through the first four pages of anti-partisan badges and couldn't find it either. Not all of us can remember where to find stuff. Just because you've discussed this ad nauseum doesn't mean others have. If you're sick of talking about it, you didn't need to respond in the first place when I solicited feedback.

                        Just forget about it.

                          Hi Andy,

Are you sure about that? A quick glance at his offerings shows at least two fakes right off the bat (UQ Assmann Airgunner and the flatback S&L APB) IMO. I see several others that are questionable, but he doesn't provide big enough pictures to be sure. The quality of fakes these days demand better pictures and closeups, these type of far-off pics don't cut it any more IMO.

I also question the APB that started this thread, but better pics are warranted because it could be a good Juncker badge. I would want to see closeups of the obverse and the hardware before I would be ready to drop that kind of money on an APB.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
