Although I do not own a silver version, I understand that there are many more bronze than silver EWEs. The only I have seen is from the Collector's Guild, here is the link: http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Heer/01Medals3.html

And unfortunately, that one from the Guild is gone!

Dear Frank,

I know prizes for PAB's are getting more crazy by the week but that one would still have been cheaper then the one Kai has on offer with the repaired catch. Euro 185 or $222 + 25 for shipping to the US if I'm not mistaken. But then again the silver one was in very poor condition so certainly highly overprized.

Thanks for the link to that Silver EWE. Hard to believe what people are paying for Panzer Badges these days. I agree with you that the Silver EWE must be very scarce. There are definitely more Bronzes around than Silvers.

Well, a feller's got to know his priorities! I look back with regret on the "Good old days" of the 1990s when I lived in Germany and could find PABs in the local area cheap, or go to the big shows and give (in 2000) maybe DM 120, which was about $60 for me. But those days are gone, at least on this side of the Big Pond.
