    Heer paratrooper

    Is it OK?

Yes it is. Wreath looks like it might be refinished and some detailshots of hinge and catch would be interesting to see if there are no repairs there.
    Kind regards,
    Giel

I can only agree, a very fine original in excellent condition. Finish looks legitamate to me, and rivets don't look messed with but detailed shots couldn't hurt like Giel suggests.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Be careful! 2 different badges shown IMO- look at the gap between eagle and swaz as well as many other differences in the outline. Both look ok in the images but not the same badge.

Good eye Patrick, I see what you are talking about with the difference in the gap size. Obverse and reverse finishes don't seem consistent either. Wonder if this was an honest mistake or...........

Cut out of the eagles beak missing from the back side picture which shows a solid head!
Definately not the same badge being shown here!

The upper wing feathers are different too, with the obverse showing two feather tips
clear of the wreath, and the reverse showing one.
I am no expert on these, but could these differences be down to camera angle and
different backing/ lighting used for the photo??

              regards John

I don't think there is any question about authenticity of the badge from these pics, but the question remains if we are seeing the same badge? The obverse and reverse shots are shot on different backgrounds and there is a noticable difference in the finishes, so we would need to see the Obverse and Reverse from the SAME BADGE to be sure its original.
