    Relic Infantry Assault Badge

Hello guys,i bought an iab in relic condition.Onhandling it part of the metal deatched into my hand.Naturally i became worried i d been had.on looking at badge it has marks and pitting consistent with its relic status,it is solid backed and non maker marked. It looks like it has been a bronze one with most of the finish gone.the hook for retaining the pin is bent to the left.unfortunately i am not able to post a picture of item ,and asking an opinion on authenticity is difficult, but i would be grateful to hear your thoughts ,James/Belfast

Hello guys ,I knew when posting this thread it might be difficult getting replies, and i stated that in my thread.I guess i was looking reasurance from other collectors of this type of material.Anyone who knows me on the site in general knows i have a sence of humour, but the second reply ,all i can state is sarcasim is the lowest form of wit.try harder in the humour department, come to ireland and ill buy you a pint of guinness and show you real humour, anyway at the end of the day best wishes to all from Ireland ,James/Belfast
