    IAB maker help?

    Hey Guys,
This is the first of two maker help appeals - one for an iab, one for a spange.
This iab has been with me for several years, and i've not yet come across one quite like it.
Firstly the general dimensions are fine - although iabs are often slightly different sizes.
The thing that is throwing me is that most of these semi hollow, scooped out rifle ones that i have seen have the ball hinge joint, making identification easier, where as this one has a standard hinge.
The badge is lightly vaulted, with a good degree of the finish left. As you can see the rifle is semi hollow and the back has some slightly raised edges - again something i have seen before.
    Any ideas?
ps - appologies for the side on shots. On the other half's laptop and they're steadfastly refusing to rotate

      Hello

This one is an unknown maker associated with the Vienna Design family of badges.

Yours is a semi hollow design with a sheet metal hinge. This variant can also be found with a block hinge and the catch directly attached or the use of a catch plate.

      Beast Regards, fischer

          Hi PW,

Looks like Don nailed all the highpoints for you on this IAB. A very nice original by an unknown maker

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
