Just my 2 cents but I really think we need to get our act together (or at least I do) with respect to calling certain daisys fake and real. My eyes are probably in need of some glasses but I swear the one posted here looks EXACTLY like the two that I picked up at the SOS. Unless I misunderstood the whole concept and mine are indeed original. Here's a link to them.

The cast copy of the "daisy" PAB looks exactly the same except for lack of detail, the tiny casting bubbles, and the pin doesn't sit right though that would be easy to fix.

Hi guys,don't forget the fake ones were just a little smaller than a good one.(casting them from a original makes them smaller) As I remember the ones Tony got at the SOS show were smaller.

Hmm, I think the real big giveaway was the large cutout on the left side of the turret.
The fakes that Tony has have got to be the best fakes of a PAB to date. Sure fooled me on the pics.

I'm willing to do a compare for you but then you will have to send them to me. Comparing pics and scans from different angles and sizes won't help you here. These are just to good. Only in a direct compare with the originals in hand will the differences become cristal clear

Best thing to do is to start with the measurements, both weight and dimensions. If they match the dimensions Greg has provided in the above mentioned thread then you can be 100% sure that they are copies.

Weigh the badge for a quick check if your badge is OK...a good Daisy zink semi hollow is between 29.9g-30.5g give or take .5g...while the fake Daisy seems to weigh much less between 21.5 and 25 grams...good to know if your at a show and just have a pocket scale, and no way for accurate measurement with calipers...
I'd like to see a chart with PAB weights for various styles/makers that one can use at shows/home for a quick reference-also with warning weights for suspicious style PAB badges..Comment
