    Gentlemen

I have been offered these including some Heer badges. Any red flags?

    Many thanks for your help

    Hi James!
I suggest close pictures from bagdes- help to the members to make accurate opinions. For a distance hard to say. The birds and clasp need to go to luftwaffe sub-forum,the cross to the EK forum etc...Please help. And the maker marks...

Sorry, I was hoping I could get away without adding individual pics. I will get some.

      Thanks

Army flak is good. The top left and right luft badges are total crap. The rest look decent from here...Better pics would help.

Hi James, I agree that there are several fakes in the bunch, so better pics of each one would be more helpful to see if more are fakes, but the definate fakes for me are:

          1. Retired Pilot Badge
          2. Pilot/Observer Badge
          3. Heer Flak Badge (sorry Nick to disagree, but I think this one looks really soft)
          4. Hollow IAB on the left.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Bottom right IAB looks to possibly be a good FLL

But as mentioned, better pics needed

To be honest whenever I see a thread titled with #1 and sometimes #3 I tend to assume it will be fake until otherwise stated.

                Tom,

You may be right about the Heer Flak - hard to tell the details from this distance, but the design is correct. If you can tell it is soft from those photos you must be something on a date!

                    Hi Nick

If you can't see the details because the badge is at a distance, then you should always be cautious. Most fakes have the correct design, most are copies.

                    cheers
                    Graeme
