            Thanks Sergey!

Any clue as to what metal it is made of? Tomack? Fein-Zinc? Etc...?

              Hi Shane,

My best guess would be "Feinzink". For me the dark black under coating is a give away to reach this conclusion together with the thickness of the badge.

Thanks Philippe, that's what I had assumbed as well. Any problems with fein-zinc badges deterroating like zinc pieces?

I disagree with you Philippe, I think it is bronze(tombak) badge. Look at the wings, in places where silvering was lost you can see yellow base metal. Also I have in my collection the same type of GAB made from bronze(tombak).

                      Hi Sergey,

You're probably right, after a closer look I think I can also see the yellow buntmetall peeping through on the left upper wing tip. So for me it would be interesting to know if the back color visible on wreath is sitting on top or underneath the silver finish.

Yes, no zinker for sure. Either Tombak or German silver, but I think I also see the yellow coming through which would point towards Tombak.
                        Cheers, Frank
