    Bronze 25 year assault badge

Here is the badge that I have for sale on the e stand. I was asked to put it up for discussion on the forum. If it turns out to be bad, I am very sorry and feel somewhat embarresed because I bought it from a reputable dealer and when I put it up for sale I had confidence it was real and would not hesitate to tell the buyer who is the dealer that sold the badge to me. Here are pics and I will appreciate your input. Thanks, DEL

I am not expert on these however I have never seen a date box with such a strange curve to the number 2. Also this badge is for 25 engagements not 25 years. <O</O

I wasn't thinking when I typed 25 year. I know the badge is for engagements. Thanks for pointing that out. DEL

              Hello Del,

I honestly could point out some concerns,BUT, the picture quality would have to be better to really evaluate the piece.

Forget the number box for a moment and let's see if you can get us some better pics, with less shadowing and better true to life color.

I think then the well versed in these pieces will have much to offer as well as myself.

              Best,
              JD

In my opinion, this is the same fake with "squished" number 2 in box. This here a bronze one:

                    Hi Del,

Besides what has already been mentioned, these are my concerns with this badge

                    1. Angle of the eagles head is much to steep
                    2. The poor animal doesn't really have eagles paws but something that comes closer to chicken legs
                    3. The tank and grass area are an extremely poor fit to the wreath
                    4. The quality of the finish is not someting I expect to see an late war zinc badges.
                    5. Viewed in profile this badge is just looks to fat. Why even bother to make a semi hollow badge when you are using this ammount of material. Would be interesting to know how much it weighs.

I also would advice you to contact the dealer and discuss a refund on this badge.

                      Hi Del,
Please, compare the fragments of your badge with the fragments of mine.

I always wondered where Porsche found his idea for the design of the "92 carerra 964 17" Cup rims.

Well I guess now I know, man the things you learn in this hobby, thanks Roman
