So how did they end up in that group? They where definately not there when it was found? I know as I was one of it´s first owner. I know Markus added a lot of items to the group before it was sold via Detlev. he was though informed by me that the group had grown!

Would be interesting to know what is claimed to be in it now, I can then let you know what was original, still have the original photos.

Not good when groups are growing like this!

This is what the group really consisted of when found and sold by me!

Since the hunt on dealers are so favoured here on this forum, maybee it is time to hunt the collectors who let this group grow so nicely!!

Peter, I discussed with you what was originally in the group when you had it and it is stated in this thread. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ssinger&page=2 post 24. No secrets here I think. The thread shows it as I got it. Jacques

Perfect, as I saw it had grown, no problem adding stuff as long as they are not said to have been his from the start.

          Cheers

Looks like there was something going on with the Weissinger Group...

I will conclude by saying, if your investing in a sniper badge, and it does not look like the example(s) 'Jacquesf' has posted, you are better to save your money.

Not so! There are other textbook original examples which are not the same "make" as the ones posted by Jacquesf.

WTF!!! We have been led to believe all along that this grouping was straight from the family as is. No mention has ever been made in the past of the group "growing". This is bullsh*t. Thanks for sharing this info Peter.

As far as the patch that started this thread I have never been able to find anything wrong with them. Other than the backing material they are the same. Anyway, who knows if they are original is the bottom line.
                  best wishes,
