    Wich IAB is this?

Hi guys, I'm not able to understand who can be the maker of this ISA.
It seems a 2.10 on Sascha Weber book, but the hardware is really different...
    Can someone help me?

      Hi Antonio......

......That's a rarely seen set-up. I'm not sure who it is attributed to for manufacture, but is nonetheless, in my opinion, a good IAB. I like it!

        Hello,

Nice pick-up! This type is referred to as a Vienna Design IAB and the maker is not known. This semi-hollow type with the raised guides for the hardware is a not so common badge.

Weber's book is a great reference and he has done an excellent job, but its not quite complete. It would be a very daunting task to complete an IAB reference book that has all the makers (known and unknown) and then all the variations thereof (hardware, materials, etc.).

Do a search for Vienna Design and you likely find some badges to compare.

        All the best,
        Eric

            Hi Antony

            I agree unknown.

The closest vienna design IMO is RS, the obverse is very close but not quite a match. RS also used raised guides on some of their badges.

The following badge has a very similar obverse design and a couple of unique features, that show that yours and this type are connected in some way.

            regards
            Graeme

              Hi Anthony

I agree with the others as this maker is currently unknown.

As Eric and Graeme have stated, this variant falls under the "Vienna Banner" of makers due to similar obverse design features.

I have seen this example before with the raised guide for the hinge but do not recall this type of catch used.

Has anyone seen this style catch on a "so-called" unmarked Vienna Design with cut out rifle before?

Here is my Raised Hinge Guide Vienna to compare...it lacks obverse finish but the details are still nice.

              Best Regards, fischer

Fischer, your ISA is the same of mine. This is the first time I see another one!
Thanks Graeme and Fischer for showing us these badges!
