    Dear Ivan,

One of the main problems of this spange should be obvious. You say:

can someone explain the wrong points of this late type?
Probably because the catch has a plate and the finish looks funny.

    But DetlevĀ“s expertise states "Buntmetall".
    Cheers, Frank

I think it's pretty awful; if Detlev blessed this one I am very surprised.

          Spange

Here's a similar example that I believe is not pre-45.

            Spange

Reverse--odd catch mounted on plate but the spange appears to be Buntmetall.

                Erich,

I also believe that's the same type of clasp and agree it's not pre-May 1945. Just an ugly example with unconvincing characteristics.

I must also say that I am non to keen on it, so no buyer here either.
What I find really disturbing is that it is a zinc badge with catchplate but its got a laying down hinge. I would have expected the hinge to also have a plate or be standing up (like with Schwerin HSFs were they changed from bunt to zinc)
                  Also looks heavily cleaned.

All due respect to Detlevs experience but you can add me to the list of non-buyers.
