Hi Chuck,

I can only agree that its a very nice, original badge. Box also looks like the generic type, you sometimes find IABs in.

I would recommend the vaseline treatment, and i don't really consider that the same as cleaning the badge IMO.

Hi Thomas. I have often seen referral to "patina" on other old things, such as furniture and old cars. To me it just seems like another word for "dirt".
Is there a practical reason, such as the risk of damaging the badges finish, for not cleaning badges and medals or is it just the current fashion.
