BKA aka APB in green box

I know this is not THE presentation box but it is green!

This was offered to me along with a number of other original items over this past weekend.

I do believe that it is original but would like your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Chuck

          Good badge.

Box is a generic badge type carton, impossible to prove it belongs to this piece.

I agree with you regarding the box and glad you like the badge.

I prefer the ones with the straight pin and I'm quite happy that this version was offered to me!

              Regards,

              Chuck

Although others will not, I prefer to clean my items as "patina", as nice as it is, is still corrosion and if not attended to will ultimately cause irrepairable damage to the item in question.

So, would you all recommend a vaseline treatment or leave it's slightly salty appearance alone?

                Regards,

                Chuck

                  Hi Chuck,

I can only agree that its a very nice, original badge. Box also looks like the generic type, you sometimes find IABs in.

I would recommend the vaseline treatment, and i don't really consider that the same as cleaning the badge IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I don't find the case convincing, The only square box that I know of are the Cloud pattern boxes for the BSW IAB's

I agree with Tom, treating a badge for its health, and cleaning are two different ball parks so to speak.

This badge could benefit from light vaseline treatment.

Didn't APBs originally come issued in a green box? I could have sworn I heard that somewhere before. Not saying this one is original, but it could be a possibility (the box that is).

The issue box was hinged like qualification badge award boxes.

Once the badge has been cleaned up I will take new pictures and post them.

                              Thanks guys for your input.
