    Blob fake or not??

    Hello Collectors,

in an auction this PAb is offered as an original badge.

I doubt this and guess it is the so called "Blob fake"

Please let me know what you think about it

    Thanks & regards

NOt the blob fake IMO..the machine gun port would be much larger, there would also be large dumbell tracks and the grass area more detailed than an original BH Mayer badge.

Thanks for your comments and opinions.

I made a black circle around the area near the gun which made me believe it is the fake......good to know it´s an original badge

          Kind regards

            Martin,
As the othesr have said, a good one. The blob fake is much more pronounced at the coaxil that the one you have. Besides that there are other indicators on the blob fake that you will not find on your badge.

It looks like it was chemically cleaned. I think the silvering looks not like anything I have seen on these before, no sign of patina, no blackening of the silvering. Weird badge.

                      Hi Martin,

I can only agree with the others, a fine original Mayer and no blob fake.

I tend to agree with Daniel that its also been cleaned.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
