Hi Guys
SORRY MY FRIEND , this is a fake , i belive it was last for sale buy a antique dealer in the states , i think it went for 600 ish , these are repros sold hear in the uk , the one you have has just been made to look old , they cost 40 quid hear brand new , if you payed top money for this , like me you should have done your homework , i have been stung with quite a few of these , but must admit , they were not quite as bad as that one ,

Thanks to all who responded and commented. As theunionjack suggested, I tried to do my homework - as should be evident from my opening of this thread. I was suspicious, but really needed some second opinions from those more knowledgeable, before proceeding. I had not yet purchased the piece and will now be returning it.
Re question by phosphateb, the wording on the box, I believe, is and should be the German term for the award, which is: "Bandenkampf-Abzeichen" (Anti-Partisan Badge).
