      Hi guys,

Alexander, yours looks like a fine original to me no problems at all.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

It is NOT the same guys. Alexander's badge is an original, and has plenty of original silver finish on it.

Rove's badge is a cast fake from Staegemeir, and has fake zinkpest on it (not finish). Someone cleaned off the fake zincpest, here are the pics from the estand. There was no finish on on it, it was just fake zincpest IMO. Rove admits has been cleaned (NOT striped of silver finish, but cleaned of fake zincpest!).

I will get an Assmann " 4 " silver in the next few days. By the way... what means the numbers, 1, 2, 3, 4...? Are this the working stations at the assmann factory?

And for any straggling doubters out there, here is another Staegemeir fake "2" Assmann, identical to Rove's.....

I cannot emphasize enough how important a fake database of badges is, you guys should be saving all these fakes to compare with badges you are looking to purchase in the future..
