    Brehmer Flak Badge

    Gentlemen,

A beautiful Brehmer Flak badge -- in different lighting and adjustments using Adobe.

None of these capture the beauty of it, sadly. I wish I was better at this.

Incidentally, it is beautifully finished on the back. Extremely smooth -- can anyone tell me if a lacquer was applied to these at the factory. I cannot tell. As I said it is very smooth to the touch but also has a nice sheen that cannot be captured in the photos. I do not believe it to be polished by an owner or collector, but I could be wrong. It just doesn't have that cleaned look. Just very nice finishing.

    Happy New Year!

    Hi Mike,

I think your Brehmer looks perfectly fine, and doesn't appear to me to be cleaned at all. IMO, Brehmers did receive some type of clearcoat protective layer, giving them a sort of glossy appearance, here is one of mine to compare.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
