hollow silver Tombak IAB: anybody that has this style badge?

    Dear all,

This fine hollow Tombak IAB is a recent acquisition of mine. Does anybody have the same badge? Could it be tied to a maker?

    Note three things about it:

    -cut out swastika
-cut away leaf near rifle butt (something often considered as sure sign of a fake!)
-hardly visible acorn detail (also something most collectors do not want to see in an original badge!)

Overall, this badge shows great quality and a very nice eagle.

        Dear Frank,

Never seen that design before but I agree with you that it's a wonderfull and delicate looking IAB.

Think you'll have to wait untill Roman wakes up, I'm sure he'll come up with something that matches this badge.

Frank could you post a close up of the folding marks on the pin as well as a profile of the catch?

          Sorry Correction

Just remembered that I save a cut-out swas IAB from one of Detlevs updates.

Pic's arent that good but I think it's a match. What do you think

            Dear Philippe,

            Yes, 100% match.

The hinge is a block hinge, the catch is a ?-roundwire catch that is just a bit bent on mine.
            Cheers, Frank

              Dear Frank,

Just a thought, cut-out swas, identical ? shaped roundwire catch and block hinge as on the PAB's

Who knows, could be one and the same unknown maker

                  Dear Skip,

No, I got it before Stuttgart. My only two Stuttgart buys were a PM marked para and the Juncker PAB!
                  Cheers, Frank

My friend bought back the same badge from a show in Arizona. He said a dealer there had about 5 of them. Are you sure it is not a repop? I know that the stamped badhges are the easiest to make so maybe this is fake.

My friend has one like this that he brought from a show in Arizona. He said the dealer had 3 other badghes just like it. I think it looks too new and unusual.
