Makers for IAB & GAB ??

Hoping someone may know who made these two unmarked badges.
Didn't seem to find the IAB in Sascha's book.
    Here are some pictures.
    Thanks, John

gave me... From an old boyfriend...

              Hi John,

imo both are original. The IAB looks like a RK(Rudolf Karneth) or R. Kreisel badge, the second is a nice tombak BH Mayer or Frank&Reif piece.

              Regards,

              Daniel

                Thanks Daniel.
My mother in law got the GAB as a young woman working at Hughes Tool
in Houston during the war effort. John

                  Hi Daniel,

That bronze RK IAB looks like it was made yesterday. I have seen IABs by this maker with excellent finish, but that one is a stunner. Congrats on finding that one

Your IAB is the unpebbled version (meaning that the leaf pattern is smooth). RK also made a pebbled version where the leaf areas are textured with dots.

Again, a great looking finish on that badge!

                  Best regards,
                  Eric

                    Hi John,

I can only agree, 2 nice, originals. That RK is in really excellent shape.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                              Thank's Andy:
But what a can of worms is opened on the GAB...
                              Mayer or F&K ???
Reading all the threads I could find here have been told the only difference is in the hinge looking from the side??
And that F&K did not cut out between the wings and weapons??
They were old posts and was wondering about the latest thinking about that ???
