    Small imperfection on BSW IAB

    Hi guys,
what i introduce to you, is the bronze version of the typical Infantry Assault Badge marked 'BSW' (I think the 1st issue) i have in my collection.
Some days ago, a friend of mine remarked to me the presence of a small 'cut' on the reverse side of the badge (see the little circle on the 2nd pic) in EVERY IAB produced by this Austrian maker (his one too), like if they were made all with the same only stamp even if, in the truth, the stamps of the same badge were necessarily more than one. Then? How do you explain the presence of this imperfection in every BSW Inf. Assault badge?
Could i consider doubtful the originality of this kind of badge?
    Greetngs from Italy,
    Alessandro

PS: Who has the same marked badge is prayed to check it in order to estimate if also in his one is present this imperfection.

I have seen the same flaw on other BSW infantry assault bages. I think your badge is a good one.

Never noticed that. BSW IABs were never reproduced. Here is mine, same "imperfection". Nice rare bronze example you got there!

              Hello guys,
many thanks for your answers but i remain with my opinion; i think impossible that there was just one stamp to strike this badge, so i still consider doubtful the originality of it. However, i have never seen this badge in 'used' conditions but every in brand new conditions.
              What does it mean?
              Cheers,
              Alessandro

                Hi Alessandro,

A little paranoia to question everything you see is absolutely necessary in this hobby of ours but to much paranoia will inevitable lead you stop collecting III Reich items.

Like the other guys stated your badge is absolutely original. I'll tell you even more it's a very worn badge too and far from being "brand new" like you wrote.

The top bronze finish is heavly worn and exposing the underlying coating almost allover your badge. The fact that the coating is also bronze merely gives you the impression that it looks new.

If I'm not mistaken Skipy owns one of these in mint condition. Maybe he can post it so you can see the difference.

                  Hi Alessandro,

I will like to purchase that badge from you if you still have any doubts, don't want you to lose sleep over it.
