got this today...although it isn't as vaulted as my FLL it seems to have a slight vault or "twist" on the right side... is this unusual?

    Thanks for looking...

odd "vaulting"?...looks more like it was bent intentionally?

The one sided vaulting is not unusual, my AGMuK has the same. It allows the badge to follow the natural contour of the chest when worn in the correct position.

Thanks for the info.. was AGMuK the only one to manufacture them this way?

                        Hi Richard,
I also have CCC like yours,
but unfortunately Detlev doesn't think that it is original.

I noticed the catch is different on yours...maybe thats why it gets a redlight from Detlev..maybe some more opinions from some other CCC collectors would clarify the catch difference?

                          Thanks for the pictures Roman..

                            Hi Richard,

These are difficult variants and we discussed them more than once in the past. I think I could live your CCC. The fake that Roman posted in Detlev's copy of the week is based on your spange but the fastest way to tell them apart even from a picture is to focus on the unfunctional crimps. The crimps on these fakes are merely decorative and mostly don't even touch the backplate. On the one Roman posted it's still acceptable but most of the time the backplate is also to small on these.

I have one the same as Roman's which I posted a few weeks ago and it was agreed was fake. See pic's, same catch etc and unfunctional crimp as noted by Phillip
