    Iab "schuco"

    Hi,
opinions appreciated. thanks in advance. I have only this photos.

Hardware looks replaced, from the reverse photo the pin is jutting way out the bottome of it. Personally I would pass on it, but wait and see what others have to say. I have seen original examples with the MM partially covered from solder (although this one looks very sloppy).

        Michou.

        Are you sure about this?

It looks like a very good made fake.

It is certainly not a 5 stem variant, as I stated below, I dont like it at all. Even if it is real, just forget about this one and search for one in better shape. Some of the obverse details look kinda bulgy and whoever soldered on the catch has the opening on the wrong side.

Better straight picture from the eagle would be good to determine its fake or not, but I would pass on this one.

For me, it looks o.k., but the hardware is messed up. I think it's original, but I would pass for condition reasons, unless the price was right.

                  Hi guys,

I don't like the look of the finish, or the base metal used. It reminds me of Staegemeir fakes, although I admit I am not familiar with this exact one.

Based on the hardware, and look of the base metal, I would definately pass on this one.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                    Just like thomas stated,

                    * finish looks odd, (i believe Staegemeir doesnt use finish but polishes the base metal) and this looks like one of those.

                    * Obeverse looks okey but the wire catch looks to thin imo.

                    I would pass.

I remember seeing a staegemeir fake on this forum for one of these badges, overall it looked decent, but had incorrect hardware. The excess solder on the back is covering enough to make it confusing, but I doubt that is the right pin for this type of IAB. I dont think this type is rare enough to take a chance on this one.

The back looks soft and fake to me, I'd pass.

I would say the badge body looks good, however replaced pin assemble.

I can´t see anything wrong with it.Finish, setup looks good to me.Also the bad soldering is well known from Sohni IAB´s.For me a good one.

                              regards Michou
