Hi Steve,

This looks like the "FLL" one I picked up a few years ago. I will check it out when I get home tonight and post it for comparison. I have yet to find another one but yours seems to be a good match. I don't really like the look of the finish on yours, but the hardware is a good match to FLL badges IMO.

That is not an issue with the Vienna design badges. Souval usually touches, but the pillow-crimp, flatback, and gray back do not.

Hi guys,

Now that I am home and checked my "FLL", I am convinced these are a 100% match! I could kiss you right now Steve!!! I have been looking for another one of these for years now! I picked up mine a few years ago on a hunch, most guys didn't like it but Marc and I felt it stood a decent chance of being original because of the materials, finish and hardware. Furthermore, I have studied all the good, recent fakes and even the crappy ones and none of them matched mine.

So obviously I believed in this type of Heeresflak, but realized that its hard to prove its good without finding others like it (either good or bad). I have never seen another one like it until yours. See my compare, I feel they are a 100% match. What also speaks in the favor of originality is that both appear to have the exact same reverse hardware setup, a very good sign IMO.

Ofcourse without more, these could still be contentious and not everyone will believe in them. But this is a positive step in the right direction IMO and we just need to keep our eyes out for more evidence. Whether these were really made by FLL is another question. The reverse hardware is a very good sign these are FLL-produced, but also the fact that mine came in a FLL-marked carton. Not 100% proof, but FLL is the very likely candidate at this point in time.

Looks good Tom! I will take high-res shots when I get it and we can compare. But even just looking at the reverse silhouette is a match. The box is the icing on the cake if you ask me.

Steve's even looks to have a dark lacquer.
