IAB hook replaced?

would you think the hook on this IAB was replaced, or is this a variant? The silvering on the plate confuses me a bit, I thought I have seen it on a Heer award the last few days.

I didn't mean replaced, but rather resoldered back on...sorry for the confusion.

Could you show a close up of the hinge ?
