    Dear Philippe,
Of course it was my mistake Wein,I mean Wienna.

    I mean the manufacturers:

    f.o.
    W.H.
    R.S.
    R.S.
    GR & Co

If we compare eagles we will see that they are from one nest.

    KR,
    Roman

P.S. Maybe we should start learning Russian, it's very difficult to write in English.

      Dear Roman,

Thanks for another interesting insight. "The Wien connection", Why am I not surprised to see Fo and RS as members of that club

That leaves the pillow crimp IAB outside this little club because F&B was located on Pforzheim. Do you know of maker marked examples using this design produced in Germany

        Dear Philippe,

What do you mean by F&B? Maybe you mean IAB with mm L/21?<O</O

<OI have found this in the heap of badges which I don’t like at home.

What is your opinion about it?

            Dear Roman,

Yes with F&B I was refering to Foerster and Barth (L/21) the only IAB I ever saw with this mm was featured in Yuri's first article you can find in this thread

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/asso.../iab_index.php

Don't know why but the picuture of it in the above mentioned article isn't available anymore, but you will find it in the files I ones send you.

When you refer to a heap of other badges were these IAB's or other awards.

And what about the hollow IAB you just posted is that a copie in your opinion? Certainly the whole strike in general looks much better and also the claws look a lot more detailed than the badges posted by Jürg in the beginning of this thread.

              Dear Philippe,

I think that mm L/21 on IAB is not original.
              You ask me why?
              1. I don't like pressed mm.
              2. Why do we know the only one badge with mm L/21? At the same time the similar IAB are very often meet.
but the other badges with L/21 are also often meet.

The eagle on that badge is not from Wienn nest.

As for the last posted IAB I convinicing myself that it is original.

                Dear Roman,

I would agree with you on the L/21 marked IAB, and also on the fact that the Bronze massive IAB you posted as well as the silver hollow version differ slightly from the Wien connection.

So would it be fair at this point to conclude that Jürg's IAB that started this thread is a good copie based upon the Bronze and Silver IAB's you posted?

                  Dear Philippe,
I think that my silver IAB & Jurg's IAB are copies.

does anyone know the correct term for the coating on these silber IAB's? Is this easy to replicate?

... here are some new scans.

Though this is mine, I think it´s questionable. But I payed my dues for this mistake and now we have the chance to find somthing out about (MAYBE) a new fake.

I scrathed a little bit on the rear and the IAB is made of an silver material, so it´s not brass made. The pin is magnetic.
