      Hi Peter,

Does it look like an unmarked F&B IAB? Somehow the hinge don't look quite right, that is how I feel, I could be wrong.

It looks like the hinge is replaced. It should be wider. The award is original in my opinion.
Show the front of it my friend.

        Cheers.

          Hi Wunhur,

I also would like to see the obverse of this IAB. All IAB's with this type of crimp that I know of show the same obverse. It's possibe that the hinge is replaced but than again we know of several other IAB's with all kinds off different reverse hardware made by one and the same maker.

If it is replaced it should be very easy to see because the crimp would certainly be damaged.

Here is my example with the wider hinge.

Guys, Does anybody know who is the maker of all these badges with such construction of pin system? I have in my collection Army flak badge and I believe that my badge and these IABs were made by one and the same maker.

                  Hi Sergey,

Here is a pic of the only mm I have ever seen on a badge with this specific crimp. L/21 for F&B. To me it looks believable but since it's absolutely unique we would need to see some more badge with this mm to be absolutely sure.

                    Hello

in my opinion G. R. & Co. is the manufacturer of these badges.

Allthough Grossmann & Co seemed to have used the same design, the top crimp IMO isn't an exact match. I also can't recall ever to have seen a Grossmann marked IAB with a pillow catch crimp, or for that matter a Heer Flak badge or PAB with that specific Grossmann hinge an pin crimp or a scooped out reverse.

I'm not saying it's impossible but at least we would need a Grossmann marked badge with exact matching crimps both for the hinge and the catch.

Does anybody have another badges (except IABs) with such construction of pin system?

There exist PAB's with the exact same setup but I don't have one in my collection yet

Obverse, I will go for F&B for such a hinge & catch setup.
