I'm not an expert but from what I see comparing to what's in Heukemes book.

          I don't like it.

The fit of the various parts of this badge is very bad.

Not like an original where every piece fits more or less perfectly.

Let's wait and see what the experts have to say.

I've been wrong many times before trying to learn.

Gentlemen, thank you for your insight with this badge. If at all possible if a couple more opinions on this can be posted I would appreciate it as with these the hard work begins to get this issue of pruchase rectified from the seller.

2 out of 3 bought are not correct, this is really bad news for this person.

I can only agree with the others, this is reproduction, the big give away here is the shape of the pin and they way grenade and bayonet fit wreath, also number box and digits itself are wrong shape.

                  kind regards,

                  Eddie

PS i really hope you will be able to solve this matter.

Again, many thanks to the Forum members who have replied.

These were bought in 1997 and fortunately I save all the cashiers check reciepts from these purchases. Those I have found and scanned.

I trust in the fact that the person from whom these were purchased will step up to the plate and do the right thing.

                    We shall see.

Thanks again for all you input fellows.

                    Best Regards.

I can just agree the others. the badge supposed (I guess) to be an unmarked JFS doesn't match originals. I never see unmarked massives JFS. the pin, hinge, number box, don't match original (colour, construction,). details of the eagle and wreath also don't match known originals. I think that you can find here some good pictures to compare with.
                      hope you will got refund.

Sad buying. Its the same as the Maurice Hitler faked grouping!

                          Big money for fakes !

1997 seems a long time ago for a refund, were these deemed fakes back then. Knowlege on GAB's has come on tremendously in the last few years.

Presumably you would get back what you paid originally?
