    SS 12 & 25 Year Service Medals

    These two medals from my personal collection are presented for assessment and comment, please. The pictures are a mix of the best I could take in natural daylight and artifical light. Respectively,
    corresponding to the award class, the medals have 50mm wide ribbons bearing embroidered runes in silver or gold; plating of silver or gold with polished highlights and a solid wreath which is integral to the medal. The suspension eyelets are bevelled and the suspension rings have a "teardrop" shape.

                  Ribbon Bar with 12-Year Silver Runic Device

                  Just thought I would add this in with the above, for assessment. The 12-year award shown and this single ribbon bar did not come to me as a pair. The ribbon device was acquired separately.

                  Any comments on this item will also be appreciated.

                        Very nice John. I seem to recall that I was with you at our local militaria show when the vet you acquired them from showed up. He walked right by my table to yours. But then, c'est la vie my friend.

                        Makes me wish I hadn't sold mine so many years ago.
