    To me this pair is the "king" of SS items. Rarely offered for sale - or even for show - I'd take these over just about anything SS - A TK ring, a tux pin, or even a Himmler dagger. When they are offered they are snapped up before you can blink.

            Thanks as well, Alan, for your comment on the separately-acquired ribbon bar. You being a collector of these, I appreciate your feedback. Even when an opinion is what I would prefer not to hear, I am always happy to know - one way or the other - regarding items in my collection.
