    You were getting a lot of advice on the first badge, but you would not accept the fact.
    If you do not like to get your items discussed, then please do not post them here, Use the collectiog forum and not the discusion part of the fourm then.

      I was a little surprised to find that the badge i had in my hand, which looked so perfect was indeed a reproduction !!!

        I can understand the situation. If you collect TR-awards, sometimes even for decades -but not following close all the latest fakes that are discussed by the die hard expert guys - it hits you very hard when you post a badge that's fake albeit it is made with perfect detail. Not everyone is busy with this hobby in an almost academical way but it is neccesary to avoid the good copies that are on the market today. I'm afraid the time has gone that you can collect these things just because you are interested in history. Nowadays you have to be in the first place a detective/expert to collect war badges. Sad but true. I bought fake medals in the past what were looking better than there original counterparts. And that's what the people want to say here: The badge has to be conform to the accepted manufacturer standards if you want to put some thrust in them. And even then... the latest copies are close following the models like showed in the last reference books, getting better and better...
