    Panzer " 100 " Opinions please!

    Hi guys.

I am the owner of this Panzer badge " 100 " and would like some confirmation that it is good or fake?

    Thanks.

Well, its definately not one we are familiar with. But that doesn't necessarily mean its fake, its just different.

I will probably catch hell for this, but there are some aspects I really like about this one. Can you take some more shots of the hinge, catch and rivets from a few different angles and with the pin out of the way? Better lighting will help with the pics.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Poor Durante! After the FLL Heer FJ badge he starts down this road!

Come on guys - give the man respect for trying to get to the truth without summary judgement! Let's see where this goes.

              Hi guys,

Haha, Marc you are not far off my friend. Don't you guys think its interesting that the catch is the textbook "FLL" catch? Several makers used this, including Deumer, Souval, etc. and I just found it interesting because I NEVER see these catches on fakes. That is why I asked for better pics.

I also like the look of the rivets. They also have an "FLL" look to them, with the big head and flat spot on top, very classic shape seen on FLL Para badges.

Its also interesting because I have not ever seen this design before, neither on an original nor on a fake. If it is a fake its a new one to me at least. The look of the finish on the tank looks very "FLL-like" as well does the look of the zinc look good to me.

If someone can show a fake that has this design, well then that busts this up. But I am not familiar with this design and for lack of any other fakes to compare it to, I happen to like a few aspects of her that fakers rarely get right. I wouldn't jump on it based on these pics, but find enough aspects of it that look believable enough to look a little closer at it.

The hinge shot is still pretty dark, same with the catch. Can you not lighten them up more and get closer?

              Thanks

              Tom

I agree with the others, imo a copy!

Yes definately not a good one. One look at the eagles head tells the story...

The eagle's head actually looks like my neighbor's Dachshund.
Otherwise, the badge does have many convincing aspects, especially the "remaining" finish. That would be nice to inspect in hand. There a couple of photos where the fiish looks applied rather than worn, if you know what I mean.
                      Regards,
                      Frank

                        Hi guys,

Frank, I thought the same thing and is for sure a negative about the badge. The soft eagle detailing and the ameaturish design of the head don't help it much either. You guys are likely right, its not a good badge but definately not a "copy" of anything but rather a very questionable fantasy design.

Unique to say the least Tom.

I just looked at some Meyer IAB's. It does indeed Marc.

I may as well stuff this one in my fake files. That file is growing bigger by the day

                              100 Tank Badge

                              Hello,
Sadly the badge is bad. Real ones should look like this gem.

                              Regards,
