It looks like a good Vienna design with the soft scooped rifle, altough ive never seen that kind of flat wire catch on one of these before, it looks like a Wiedmann style catch to me. -

I agree with Alex, yours is an original attributed to the Vienna makers. This one is the circular catch variant. Nice Find!

Hello all.
I do not see this so called vienna type badge mentioned in alan beadles book German Combat Awards.What proof is there that my badge and alexes badge are wartimes examples ?
Dous anyone have any information on these vienna types to attribute it to wartime manufacture ?

I had this badge in my hands today and it seems to me the base metal is some kind of lead alloy.It bended with not much pressure applied at all.
I am sure this one is a fake but the others posted i can not comment on.
