        Hi Harry,


        After seeing your pics I all of a sudden remembered why these heer Flak badges are so difficult.

        I also have nothing in my files that matches this badge exactly. In general I like the detailing and the eagles face also looks very good. On the down side I don't know what to think about the material of which the badge seems to be made.

        IMO it's a buntmetall example. The soldered on blockhinge seems to confirm this but why the use of the fat catch sitting on a catchplate?

        Personnaly I think this is a badge you really need to handle to be able to reach a conclusion.

          Hi hcliffe,perhaps it is good, It is very quality badge, but the pin system is uncommon. Sorry I have some doubts about its originality and I wouldnt have it in my collection>>

            The top wheel on the gun, does it have what looks like to be a + or a X or is it devoid of anything but the centre 'dot'.


            Maybe it's my eye's or I'm going off the beaten track but it looks like a faint X ?

            Isn't this a sign on some fakes ? (I won't edit it out, but disregard this I'm talking bollocks)

              Here the pics of my badge. I dont know is it normal or not, but I have seen this type of pin system on another badges for example on IABs.

                    Harry, the badge you posted is tough--based on the pictures I do not like the overall look of the hinge as the barrel has unusual lines to it...almost a cast look, I would have to hold the piece in hand to get a better feel for it but I do notice a lot of this style seem to be appearing. Tough to make a determination.
