    Bandenkampfabzeichen In Gold Mit Brillianten

    Hello,

Saw this on a old HH auction, what do you think about it?
Could this one really be legit?

      Bka mit brillianten (bkamb)

This HH badge has been discussed in several threads, not simply the one given by the present link; and within each thread the consensus was said badge was a reproduction. It is accepted as being NOT AUTHENTIC, and to date, no credible authentic BKAMB piece has ever been presented on WAF or GCA for review or discussion. I know that 2 diamond pieces are said to exist in old collections, but i have not seen them in hand nor have personally met a collector who has held an authentic piece in hand. Authentic exemplars of the BKA in Gold with Blued Sword do exist however despite discussions to the contrary, and I have seen such. HH also once auctioned a Blued Sword variant that was similar to the BKAMB you show in the opening of the thread but that piece was also not authentic and appeared to be cast from same die as the diamond version pictured. IMHO, NO AUTHENATIC BKA has any makers mark upon the reverse, and the Juncker made pieces adhere to that rule. I am unaware if the HH piece ever sold, but if it did, somebody got taken to the cleaners and simply did not do their due diligence as to the award's history.
