    SS Pin, Opinions needed!!

I picked this pin up at an estate auction. It seems to be an authentic WWII piece? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

What makes it a fake? What seals the deal for you in these photos? Thanks!

I bought one like this before, and was told on the forum that this piece doesn't exist in the world of originals.
After some more searching, I found a lot of the same pins, exactly like the one you have, just in brand new condition.

Yours is just like it, except it is hand made to look old, filed down in the front, oxidized and heated, to make it look authentic.
Once again, it is just my opinion. Let's see what others have to say about it.

This should have existed, but it never did. A common fantasy, since it cannot be a reproduction of something that never existed. M 1/4, is a known fake RZM number, if placed on an enamel badge.

Aside from the already mentioned is the coffin shaped pin attachment plate. these can be found on party pin fakes and fake hj membership pins. If you see this type of plate turn it down.

                  Hello,
I'm not sure that this pin is a fantasy, i found on a website, diggerhistory, a picture of differents german badges of the ww2 and look our ss badge is here!. The pin of this spot is a fake and it's quite sure but i think that this sort of badge has still existed althought i've got some doubts and a lake of proof, only pictures on this links.
                  regards.

Any smaller size pin i.e. party pin, hj pin, with the coffin style pin attachment plate( ends cut straight) is, I believe, post-war fantasy or not.
Diggerhistory has reproductions pictured as well as originals, may be old information.
