Would appreciate some opinions on this one, the only photos I have of it unfortunately. Looks pretty good but I have no knowledge of these.

Hello Patrick,

please see my LCTB to compare....I don´t like the finish on your one, but maybe that is the light.
Also possible that there are more types of finish.

Let´s wait for some more opinions

Thanks Martin, they both seem to be from the same die with the only differences being in the hand cutting out of the badge. I agree the finish is very bright, could be refinished original? Anyone have one that has this bright silver finish on it?

Hi Patrick,Kai Winkler have one with similar finish as your picture also your picture looks much brighter than in real view.

Ps i just dont know if Winkler's badge original as i dont know this badge at all, never had a chance to handle it and it looks much different than yours and Martin's

I like the first two badges in this thread. Having owned one I think the first one is either near mint or possibly refinished.

The one Eddie shows is not made by the same producer as the first two so can't really be used for comparision.

Thanks for the comments guys, I am sure the badge is a real one, just the finish that throws me off. I showed it to Detlev and he said it looked fine from the photos. So fingers crossed its near mint and not refinished!
I managed to grab it for 1200 bucks from an auction so even if messed with a good deal IMO.

Having owned two of these badges in 41 years of collecting, and having sold the first to Stephen Wolfe, and the second to Detlev Niemann, I believe that I can say with 100% certainty that this IS an original badge.

agree , first two looks complete similar , no.3 is a other one
