Looking for opinions on these lanyards that I want to list on the e-stand. what would be a dollar amount that they might be worth?

          Hi

All look good except the 1st version, grade one which has a replaced schnur.

Thanks for the info, it's very helpful.

Kenneth, I don't mean to sound like a newbie but which part is the schnur? the one in question is an e-bay pick -up back in the day.

              Thanks,

              Roy

                .

                Framer,

No such thing as a question that shouldn't be addressed. I collect these things and I must admit, I have no idea what is being pointed out here either. "Schnur" in German is "string" ....

By the way, everyone should have BULL'S EYE -- Tim Curley's and Neil Stewart's book on marksmanship lanyards and tank destruction badges. They are bringing a supply to Show of Shows. It's a great book.

                  Schnur

Schnur is the the cord. Look at the knots. They are modern ones.

From the images provided, I think Kenneth Wolfe is correct in that at least the 3 knots (above the shield, below the shield, and at the bottom of the lanyard) have been replaced on the Grade 1 lanyard with the simple shield and eagle.

The Grade 1 Panzer lanyard pricing usually runs around $200 +/-.

The Grade 8 lanyard pricing is around $150 +/-.

Well thanks to everyone for the input. I'm glad I asked before I listed them, the first one I had suspicions about only cause of the source. The other 2 are from good sources and have an over all good feel. I have to say I'm probably not the only one to learn something.

                        Thanks again,

                          Hi

                          Thanks Tim,

                          You're the man!

Oh yeah I forgot the top knot. That's what happens when you have a crying newborn, you miss some stuff. The reason I believe that the whole cord is bad is that:
                          1. the sewing of the protective ribbon is very good over the knots and does not look like additional thread was used. It appears to be original to the cord
                          2. Modern cords (Buneswehr) are very similar to originals in construction and material and have been around awhile and finding one in this condition isn't that difficult.
                          3. And to replace just the knots would be very difficult. You would have to untie and retie the entire cord while trying to not compromise the look of an original.
