BH Meyer GAB tombak or cupal ???

    Hello Collectors,

before this one goes I´d like to be sure and kindly ask, if someone could tell if it is a tombak badge or cupal??

On the top of the bajonette there can be seen a silver colour shining through...so is it just a "cupal like finish"?

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Martin

I would go with tombac, but you can double check the weight of the badge!

I agree, its tombak. It would be hard to solder fitting like if it were aluminum on the reverse.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                I agree

Martin, the silver area you mentioned is likely the finish. All the worn areas look to show tombak..

                regards

Lighting seems to give it a copper color, but agreed, tombak

This badge will never ever have the look of a cupal piece, study the edges.

Chad, that was why I thought it could be cupal.....
