    PAB bronze Jmme & Sohn

    I need some help with this PAB,bronce,marked JMME & SOHN BERLIN,this area are not my strongest side,so please ,feel free to speak,what do you think.

    Bogus badge cast from an original so-called Zimmermann type PAB. JMME made Luftwaffe badges, no PABs.

      Hi Jorn,


      I agree with Frank, these are indeed fakes. However they are without a doubt one of the best PAB fakes I have ever seen. When you only see the obverse it's almost impossible to recognize them as such. They are extremly well made and the detailing is just a perfect match to the originals.

      Lucky for us they messed up the reverse not only when it comes to the hinge pin and catch but certainly in relation to the maker marks they put in these badges. I don't know if they did it on purpose but not one of the different mm on these badges matches known PAB makers.

      Here are a some more of these badges.
      The first one has a Schwerin mark and even copies a die flaw on top of the hinge that is only very rarely found on original sc Zimmermans.
