    minty RK bronze tank badge

    Dear all,

this is foremost to thank Mike Pinkus and Lorenzo for their great webpages which helped me acquire this gem. It looks so good, brandnew and minty that I probably would have passed on it as a fake without the things I learned from these pages. This way I got it really cheap from a private person. It is marked RK for Rudolf Karneth. In spite of the great condition, it is probably Zinc. Enjoy:

    Cheers, Frank

Hi, RK bronze tank badges are kind of like the JFS bronze IABs. I've owned a few, they usually have beautiful finishes, with sort of an olive tone to them...really nice. A few years ago, I saw one that a friend of mine's dad had taken from a POW. It looked almost brand new, even after all the years. Just the way they finished the zinc I guess.

            Dear Andy,

You are absolutely right and referring to these. I was lucky enough to snatch one of those too a long time ago:

that is a real sweet RK.
most RKs i have come across do not have the finish as nice, a real gem.
                enjoy it!

                  Nice one

                  Hello Frank,

I agree with Mike. That is a super nice PAB. Excellent finish and details - especially the grass beneath the tank's treads.

                  Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thanks to you all, I appreciate your comments. I had to vent my anger caused by all the "sorry sold" today with showing off a bit

                      Cheers, Frank H.
