Just a quick question

Did maker L/51 (Wiedmann) made cupal iab or not?.I know this maker made iab and are harder to find
But did he made the cupal variant?

A copper coated variant might be possible but not cupal.

I can buy such a piece but want to know more about these iab's

The good quality finished L/51s that you see, tend to have zinc bubbling on them and are fairly heavy. So unlikely to be cupal.
The finish can be superb and likely has an undercoat.

I think mine has tinges of green on the surface which would indicate a layer composed of copper just underneath the surface.

Purchase that beautiful L/51 Wim, if it's still available, you won't be disappointed...... Imo they made one of the best zinc IAB's out there, and that one is a real beauty
